The Immanuel Approach For Healing and Intimacy: A New Devotion?
The Immanuel Prayer originated with Dr. Karl Lehman, a Protestant brain scientist and clinical psychologist. Fr. Basil Burns has been studying and reviewing this prayer for both its wonderful fruits and its integration within the Catholic Tradition, and will present it at the Catholic Psychological Association Meeting in late April in the United States. But we will benefit from hearing about it first! Immanuel means God is With Us. Come learn about a kind of prayer that help you grow in intimacy with the God who never leaves our side. For those who would like to stay, there will be an opportunity for Eucharistic prayer and devotion led by Fr. Basil from 1:30 – 2:30 PM.
